There are a few milestones in a person’s life when they feel on top of the world and extremely special. One of those moments is the day of graduation. It is the start of a new life and the possible beginning of a profitable career. As hard as the graduate has worked and sacrificed, they should definitely be rewarded and recognized. There are so many ways to honor their achievements and here are a few suggestions to give you some ideas.

You can give them something that is self motivating to help towards their future, a laptop or personal computer or send them on an adventure trip before they have to join the work force. Don’t forget to have something to remind them of all the kind people and friends they met while striving so hard for the last few years and you can do that with a unique collage canvas print. This particular idea is one of my favorites because, not only is it very personal, classy and easy, but also, very inexpensive as well. If you would like, you could involve the graduate, since the collage will be of their friends.

There is a very good chance your graduate will have plenty of photos of their buddies in their cell phone. So, if that hold true with your graduate, have them transfer all of their favorite pictures onto the computer and if you have Photoshop, that’s even better. In Photoshop, you can create a fabulous collage with different sized pictures of their friends and special events. If you want to pull all the photos together so your collage has a more uniform feel, try giving the entire piece a sepia look. You can achieve that by removing all the color using “Hue Saturation” Once your collage is in black and white go to the “Color Balance” setting and play with the reds and yellows to mix the perfect sepia color. The great thing about making a collage is that even though the cell phone pictures may be low resolution, they will be individually small on the finished canvas so there is no problem!

You can print their fabulous collage onto stretched canvas at CanvasPress.com. You may even want to leave some blank white space around the edges so all of the graduate’s friends may sign it! If you don’t have Photoshop, the great thing about Canvas Press is they are more than happy to make the collage for you. All you have to do is transfer all the photos onto a disc and send it to them. Once Canvas Press has it, they will work with you to set up the perfect artist collage.

Another benefit to printing onto canvas is that there is almost no size limitation. If you were feeling particularly audacious, you could print their collage as large as a 54” x 120”. However, that might be a little excessive, but you get the idea. Your gift will not be like anything your proud little graduate has ever had and will bring them joy for the years to come. So when you are ready, visit CanvasPress.com to make your classic graduation collage using photos from a cell phone.
